It is a real opportunity to network with, and learn from, leading EV experts addressing the biggest EV challenges such as infrastructure procurement and installation, fleet electrification & management, monetisation strategies for public and private charging networks and a whole host of other topics.
Cecilia Routledge will be keynote speaker on 27 April, where she will be making the case for private businesses to install EV charge points. As the uptake of EVs increases, so does demand by consumers for places to charge. Organisations and landowners will therefore have to install their own charge points to meet customer demand however there are many benefits of doing so. Cecilia will examine the benefits for businesses of developing their own charging network and look at some of the challenges CTEK customers have successfully overcome to remain competitive in the marketplace.
Cecilia will also be part of a panel discussion on 20 April that will debate smart planning and how charger speed and location demands effect this. With EV charge points needing to be smart by 2021, the panel will look at how data can help build a smart charging network that can identify charging needs based on location and speed demands.
Cecilia Routledge said “The UK Government has committed to phase out the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030, 10 years earlier than originally planned. This is a key step on the ‘road to zero’ for the UK to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. And, as the number of rechargeable vehicles on Britain’s roads increases, the need for a robust and extensive charging network becomes ever more critical – not only to meet the needs of today’s electric cars, but also because the availability of public charging stations is a key driver for motorists considering making the switch to electric overall. Whether you are a local authority, commercial organisation or destination it’s important that together we meet the rapidly growing need for EV charging. I am delighted to taking part in this event and look forward to meeting lots of people there.”We are really looking forward to being part of this exciting programme of events.
